On 27 March, the Luxembourg Competition Authority held a seminar about the Enforcement of the Digital Services Act (DSA) with students from the Master in Space, Communication and Media Law at the University of Luxembourg, Professor Mark D. Cole (Media and Telecommunication Law), and several members of his research team.

After a welcome speech from Vice-President Marco Estanqueiro, Romy Schaus, legal counsel in charge of the Authority’s Online Platforms unit, and Alexandre Gonçalves, legal counsel, gave a brief presentation of the Authority’s tasks in relation to competition and digital markets.

As part of their studies, each student then presented an overview of one Digital Services Coordinator (DSC) or foreign regulatory systems of their choice.

The Online Platforms team then closed the seminar with a presentation on the role of the Authority as the DSC for Luxembourg in the enforcement of the DSA in Luxembourg, its cooperation on EU level, and daily work at a national authority.

The Authority expresses its sincere gratitude to Professor Mark D. Cole, his students and the doctoral candidates for their interest in its missions and conveys its best wishes for continued success throughout their academic journey at the University of Luxembourg.
