European Competition Network (ECN)

The European Competition Network (ECN) brings together the national competition authorities of the EU Member States and the European Commission. As the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg's representative within this network, the Authority is actively involved in the implementation of European competition policy.

Various horizontal and sectoral expert groups carry out the ECN's work, guided by the meetings of the directors-general of the national competition authorities. These meetings are prepared during plenary meetings.

To ensure the consistent application of European competition rules, the European Commission consults the representatives of the national competition authorities within advisory committees, on matters relating to mergers, agreements and abuses of a dominant position.

International Competition Network (ICN)

The International Competition Network (ICN) brings together various national competition authorities at global level, serving as a forum for discussion on topics relating to the application of competition law.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

The OECD deals with competition-related matters during meetings of its Competition Committee and Global Forum on Competition.

The Competition Committee promotes exchanges of views and analysis on competition policy issues.

The OECD's Global Forum on Competition is an annual event that brings together competition officials from more than 100 authorities and organisations around the globe to discuss key topics and recent trends in the field of competition law.

European Association of Competition Authorities (ECA)

The European Association of Competition Authorities (Pdf) (ECA), founded in 2001, is an informal association that serves as a discussion forum for the competition authorities within the European Economic Area (EEA), bringing together the Member States of the European Union, the European Commission, the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the EFTA Surveillance Authority.

The ECA aims to improve cooperation between competition authorities and contribute to the efficient application of national and European competition rules.

DAChLieLux

The Authority participates regularly in the meetings of the national competition authorities of the German-speaking Member States of the European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA).

These meetings provide an opportunity for in-depth discussion on good practices, innovative projects and recent challenges faced by the participating authorities.

French competition authority

Since 2024 the Authority has been working more closely with the French competition authority (Autorité française de la concurrence), in particular by participating in a number of its internal seminars. It has also organised an exchange and cooperation morning, based around key focus themes.

These initiatives represent an important milestone in the development of a long-term partnership based on the sharing of expertise and interinstitutional dialogue.

Institute of Political Studies (IEP), Strasbourg

The Authority offers the course 'Simulation of competition law proceedings' as part of the Master 2 - Economic and regulatory law in Europe (DERE) programme at the Institute of Political Studies (IEP, also known as SciencesPo) in Strasbourg.

This 'moot-court' seminar allows students to analyse a case from the investigation through to the decision-making phase. The Authority also frequently welcomes students who have completed this training for their end-of-course internship.

Faculty of law, economics and management, Nancy (University of Lorraine)

The Authority offers a course in European competition law for students following the Master II Juriste d’affaires international et européen (JAIE) and Magistère de Juriste d'affaires européen (JAE).

These collaborations also provide an opportunity for final-year students to undertake their end-of-course internship at the Authority.

Digital Markets Advisory Committee

Established on 13 January 2023, the Digital Markets Advisory Committee assists the Commission with the application of the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

Each Member State is represented within this committee, notably via a delegation of experts from the competent national authorities.

European Board for Digital Services

Established under Article 61 of the DSA, the European Board for Digital Services aims to contribute to a safe, predictable and trusted online environment that facilitates innovation while guaranteeing the protection of fundamental rights.

Through this Board, the European Commission and the Digital Services Coordinators cooperate as a cohesive team, taking a European approach to the enforcement of the DSA.

The members of the Board offer support, advice and assistance to the European Commission and the other Digital Services Coordinators in the performance of their supervisory tasks. They exchange views and expertise, consult external experts when necessary, and contribute to the analysis of emerging issues linked to digital services within the internal market.

Working groups

As the Digital Services Coordinator for Luxembourg, the Authority participates in 8 working groups set up within the European Board for Digital Services.

Plenary meetings of the European Board for Digital Services

The plenary meetings of the European Board for Digital Services are an essential platform where the application and enforcement of the DSA across the whole of the European Union can be discussed. They allow Board members to hold in-depth discussions on various issues and priorities linked to the digital services landscape. 

Unfair Trading Practices Enforcement Network

The Authority participates in the meetings of law enforcement officials and investigators as part of the Unfair Trading Practices (UTP) Enforcement Network.

EU Agri-Food Chain Observatory

The Authority attends the meetings of the EU Agri-Food Chain Observatory.
