Internship opportunities

Students who are interested in undertaking an internship at the Competition Authority are invited to send their CV and a cover letter, containing details of the desired internship period, to stagiaires@concurrence.etat.lu.

Tasks assigned to interns

Tasks commonly assigned to our interns include:

  • general assistance of advisors/investigators;
  • assistance with the drafting of procedural documents (statements of objections, decisions) or legal/economic memoranda/opinions;
  • market analyses;
  • case-law searches.

Interns are placed under the responsibility of our competition-law experts, who will help them develop the following professional skills:

  • ability to work independently;
  • writing skills;
  • research and analytical skills;
  • deductive skills.

Required profile

The Competition department generally accepts students who are in the 2nd year of a Master's in European competition law or the 2nd year of a Master's in economics and management (or equivalent).

Depending on the profile of the candidate, the Online Platforms and Communication departments can accept undergraduates studying for a Bachelor's degree in law, management, information technology, business management, commerce or communication.

The main working language is French. Knowledge of English, German or Luxembourgish is considered an advantage.

Technical skills

  • knowledge of the key aspects of competition law;
  • ability to carry out research in the area in question, using all available sources of documentation;
  • ability to draft opinions and reports.
