The Authority helps to raise awareness among political parties about the DSA rules
ONLINE PLATFORMS
On July 13, the Authority’s Online Platforms Department, represented by lawyers Romy Schaus and Lara Gorecka, participated in the informational briefing on the new European obligations organised by ALIA for political parties.
The discussions focused primarily on the European Regulation on Transparency and Targeting of Political Advertising (TTPA), which applies beyond election periods, as well as on certain provisions of the Digital Services Act (DSA).
To complement ALIA’s presentation on the new transparency requirements for political advertising, the responsibilities of the various stakeholders and the rules on targeted advertising, the Competition Authority outlined the measures introduced by the DSA to mitigate risks that could affect electoral processes.
The Authority extends its sincere thanks to the ALIA teams for their support in the awareness-raising efforts undertaken under the cooperation agreement for the implementation of the DSA.
