On 4 March 2026, the Luxembourg Competition Authority, represented by Alexandre Gonçalves, lawyer with the Online Platforms Department, took part in the inaugural masterclass dedicated to e-commerce in the European Union organised by the Chamber of Commerce.

Building on the success of the E-FORUM 2025 “Think Global, Sell Digital”, this session marked the launch of a new masterclass series which will explore the most promising countries for Luxembourg-based companies to consider for e-commerce expansion.

The Competition Authority, as the Digital Services Coordinator (DSC) for Luxembourg, intervened to clarify the rules set up by the Digital Services Act (DSA) and other services regulations that impact E-Commerce in the EU.

In this context, Alexandre Gonçalves explained the main obligations of online platforms, with a focus on those applicable to micro and small businesses.
