The Authority is seeking a Non-Governmental Advisor for the International Competition Network

COMPETITION

The Competition Authority is launching a call for expressions of interest from competition experts to become the Authority’s Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) within the International Competition Network (ICN).

The ICN and the role of the NGA

The International Competition Network is a private international organisation established in 2001, which currently brings together 141 national competition authorities worldwide.

This network serves as a forum for discussion on matters relating to the enforcement of competition law, with the aim of promoting convergence between competition laws and policies, as well as cooperation between the authorities responsible for their enforcement, in order to improve the effectiveness of regulation at international level.

To achieve these goals, ICN members work in collaboration with non-governmental representatives through five working groups focusing on cartels, abuses of dominant positions, mergers, the promotion of competition and, finally, the working methods of competition authorities.

Call for expressions of interest

The Authority wishes to appoint a non-governmental representative to carry out the duties set out above for a two-year term (2027–2028).

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • have a sound knowledge of economics, consumer protection or law;
